Control Panel of Your Brain

Last night, I couldn't get to sleep. I was thinking of something strange....

What if you could reprogram your mind with a simple reboot.

Yeah, it sounds weird. And actually it is pretty weird!

Here is how it all triggered.

I was reading about Bronnie Ware -- an Australian nurse. She spent years working in palliative care, looking after patients in the last 12 weeks of their lives.

She wrote about the Top 5 Regrets of The Dying based on her interactions with those people. Here are the top five regrets she encountered...

  1. I wish I'd had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me.

  2. I wish I hadn't worked so hard.

  3. I wish I'd had the courage to express my feelings.

  4. I wish I'd stayed in touch with my friends.

  5. I wish that I'd let myself be happier.

If you just read the above - now picture these alongside the 5 most common goals that people have -- Be Successful, Work hard, Keep relationships conflict free, Expand networks, Eventually be happy....

Do you see that? It is almost that we live like an antithesis to the regrets !!

So I stayed up thinking -- How do you reboot the brain and make it seamless.

It's simple really. In fact it is so simple that you may not even get it.

Here's how.

Stop Comparing.

All of our thought world is majorly made of comparisons. Comparison about careers, wealth, success, relationships, countries, jobs, things, education.... endless......

If You Could Be Comfortable in Your Own Skin Without Comparing Anything You Have Or Don't Have - It is the end of regretful life. It is the reboot.

Try it.

You'll be amazed how silent everything is in that moment.

After all, there is nothing left post a reboot... Is it?
